For Character Build and Progression

Source Material

Only Paizo source material should be used for building and improving characters. Source material can be checked on the Pathfinder D20 SRD.

Character Ability Points

The point buy system was chosen with 25 points to use and no ability score to go below 8 under any circumstances including from racial penalties.

Traits

A generous 3 traits can be taken, but one must be a Campaign trait, and the standard rule of no two from the same trait types still applies.

Starting Wealth

The class average starting money in gold pieces was agreed. All those coppers count!

Leveling Up

As per Paizo rules, except that hit points gained per level up are 'rounded up average' for the chosen class hit die – providing the following hit points per die: d6 = 4 per level; d8 = 5 per level; d10 = 6 per level. All characters started at the normal maximum hit points for their chosen class at character level 1.

Eidolon

As per Paizo rules, but further clarified thus: gear carried/worn by an eidolon disappears with it when it is dismissed or dies (which causes it to disappear as if dismissed). It effectively returns with the eidolon to the Nether-realm. When the eidolon is next summoned, the same gear appears on its person as it was before it disappeared.

Psionics / Magic Transparency

Full transparency was agreed per the Paizo default rulings. A brief summary: Psionics is as different to Arcane and Divine magic as they are to each other, i.e. the only functional difference is that they each have their own associated Knowledge skill. This includes the list of item creation equivalences suggested in Ultimate Psionics.

For Campaign Play

Hero Points

Hero Points will be used in the campaign and at the end of each game session there will be a secret ballot by the players to vote for the Most Valuable Player (MVP), who will receive 1 Hero Point as a reward. All normal rules will apply to Hero Points.

Special Materials

Special materials (adamantine, cold iron, etc.) for items, weapons, armour, etc. to be available and used.

Making Magic Items

Several characters have plans to be able to make magic items in the future. When making items for party members there is no fee applicable, i.e. they are made at cost. A thank-you would be nice though…
